Overview
Named after a 'place of refuge' in Sanskrit, Ayana Resort and Spa is perched on limestone cliffs above the Indian Ocean near Jimbaran Bay on Bali's south-western peninsula. The 77-hectare property enjoys majestic views and a secluded location with a tranquil white-sand beach, yet is just 15 minutes from Bali's airport. The 368 guestrooms comprise 290 rooms and suites, and 78 freestanding private villas spread out across the expansive grounds. Each room features a blend of traditional design and artifacts, and the latest designer amenities. The award-winning, Thermes Marins Thalasso spa complex brings together timeless European seawater therapies and traditional Balinese health and beauty treatments. A must for any visit to Bali is a hydro-therapy session in the world's largest Aquatonic Seawater Therapy Pool, supplied directly from the underlying Indian Ocean. The spa also features state-of-the-art hydrotherapy treatment rooms, spacious private spa villas, reflexology and beauty salon, as well as the spectacular Spa on the Rocks treatment villas anchored by rocks amidst the ocean.
Please note:
Damar Terrace restaurant will be closed for the whole month of November, to undergo renovations. From November 1, Damar Terrace's lunch and afternoon tea menus will be served at Padi restaurant.
Schedule to re-open on December 1, Damar Terrace will feature a new design by Yasuhiro Koichi of Japan's Design Studio Spin, who created the spectacular design of the Rock Bar earlier this year. Ayana Resort and Spa apologize for any inconvenience caused by the closure of Damar Terrace, which the hotel believe is necessary to upgrade facilities and maintain the position as the premier destination resort in Bali.

During our trip in Bali we stayed at 5 different resorts but by far, The Ritz Carlton was the best as far as providing service, ambience and giving value for money.
