We had booked a "Twin Hilton deluxe magnificent waterview, spacious twinbed". The room was quite small, and contained a king bed. It certainly had harbour views but we were extremely annoyed to find a note under our bedroom door on the 3rd night of our stay advising us that the "Sun Princess" would be docking at 6.30 a.m. and to make sure that we had our curtains closed and kept them that way to ensure that passengers would not be looking into our bedroom!! We had made particular enquiries direct to the hotel re. the dates we were staying to ensure that there was no cruise ship scheduled as we had rerad this warning in a travel book. They assured that there would be no ship in port at this time; we would have chosen a different hotel had we known this. It is not pleasant to be woken at 6.30 a.m. by the noise of a large passenger ship docking right outside your bedroom window, and then if you dare, open the curtains to have passengers staring straight in at you. You obviously lose your harbour viewe as well. When complaining about this, the hotel were not particularly concerned and only took off about $100.00 off the bill. THis was of little benefit as we would not have chosen to stay there had we been told the truth at the time of our initial inquiry.

White Restaurant has great food and excellent service. A very enjoyable stay.
