valet parking and front desk staff were very helpful and efficient. microwave did not work but everything else was great

We were very impressed with the nicely decorated rooms of the apartment and it provided us a home away from home.

I would like to thank everyone for making our stay a great one. We have been to Sydney 3-4 times in the past couple of years and choose to stay only at star City.

Valet parking and bringing our luggage to the room was wonderful- especially with all of the luggage that we had. Nothing was a problem. Julie Anne checked us in quickly and was very helpful. They gave us complimentary champagne for my sisters' birthday! The outdoor pool was also great - heated to a perfect temp with great views of the city. It was wonderful to find a room that catered for 6 people! Worst fault was noisy sheets.

Staff overall were extremely friendly and helpful, and this inlcudes all staff from housekeping to front office. The room layout and facilities were excellent, and the only let down was in the cleaning. there were a number of spots on tables and benches which had not been cleaned properly, but none were major or warranted complaint.

We were upgraded to an executive suite on arrival...fantastic

Pay for movies did not work, but after a couple of calls, hotel moved me to another room which was appreciated

Just a warning to other guests! On reading negative feedback on your site concerning a cash deposit required by Star City I rang to clarify. I was told that my credit card number was all that was required in case of a "no show" without notice or any damages etc after staying. We stayed 1 night ($250.00). On returning home I found that they had charged $250 to my credit card on the day we arrived, $250 + $38 for parking on check-out and then ANOTHER $250 later the same day. Total charged to my credit card was $788. The transaction was not reversed until more than a WEEK later, despite numerous calls to Star City and the fact we banked with the same bank.Luckily I wasn't using my card for any large purchases during that time. NOT IMPRESSED!!!!!!!!!! The suite was very well appointed and comfortable

staff weren't as friendly as has been before hand, as we have stayed at star city a numerous times before we were quite unimpressed.

We really enjoyed our stay. Lovely unit, good location, good service. Only one concern-- high priced and unreliable 3rd party internet provider. $25 per day for service that did not work.

Think it is quite strange for such a large hotel that you can not charge anything back to your room e.g. room service etc. Is a bit inconvenient to have to pay cash straight away all the time. Room was very nice - would be good if you good open windows for some fresh air though especially when it is a smoking room.

The 3 bedroom suite provided excellent accommodation in all aspects.

We booked a serviced apartment and were happy with the apartment in general. However, the hotel did not clean up the balcony before we moved in and there were a number of cigarette butts / empty cigarette box in the balcony.

There was a shortage on towels at pool. Also seating at pool is very limited. Need new irons in rooms. Also dinner ware & cutlery need to be updated, & dishwashers fixed. No racks on the bottom.
