Once you get past the initial 'Casino' thing this apartment/hotel is superb. The resort is basicaly as Casino with additional features to attract as wide a clientel as possible.
We upgraded to a city view which overlooked the bridge, tower, and other city sights. Worth every penny of the extra charge. The apartment was everything we could have wished for, spacious, clean, well appointed and comfortable.
The hotel pool is great with good views, the swimming was OK too. The childrens pool was bath like!
The reservations I have are purely personal: It is a little 'yomp' to the main reception from the apartment entry. On busy evenings the walk through the bar and restaurant area on the ground floor can be slightly off putting if you have young children.

My basic advice is: If you are looking for a very good quality, central location (a tram stop is situated within the hotel) and not pricey stay then I don't think you can do better!

We were really impressed with the service of all staff.
They were very courteous at all times. I would have no hesitation in recommend The Star City Casino to any of our family and friend.

This is the second time I have stayed at Star City Apartments. Each time i have booked the 3 bedroom apartment, which is located on the end of the building. These rooms have superior harbour and city views. They are LARGE, big kitchen with everything you need along with dining room, large lounge room, and three bed rooms, 2 bathrooms and laundry. Booking through Holiday City is easy simple and CHEAP. At $335 per night, you have a massive saving - book through the hotel and you will pay $900 per night. Highly recommended.

Great Location

We chose to stay here on a recommendation of a friend. As we were travelling with our grown daughter and we were just getting off a long-haul flight, I wanted a place that was quiet and roomy. We certainly got both! The apartment is spectacular and very good value for the money. We had a bit of a problem with an unexpected charge for using a calling card on a room phone, but received excellent service from the front desk in resolving this and removing the charge.

My family of six members visit Sydney nearly every December and each time we always book to stay at Star City serviced apartment. The reasons that we keep coming back to Star City serviced apartment are as follows:
- price of the serviced apartment is reasonable for this standard of hotel
- as we have three young children, we find the valet parking and concierge service very helpful especially when the staff would carry all our shopping including groceries shopping to our apartment - we just have to take care of the kids.
- the size of the two or three bedroom apartment is very good
- the apartments are very well maintained and clean
- the children love the swimming pool especially when there is a choice of a small heated pool
- location of the hotel is good and we (including the young children) can easily walk to Darling Harbour and the city

However one point I'd like to mention is that entrance to the serviced apartments is past the casino entrance (ie. not at the hotel main lobby) and as such we often have to walk through crowds of people on the weekend to get to the serviced apartment entrance.

We went down to see a show at the casino. We booked a 3 bedroom apartment in the casino. It was huge. Comfortable with every possible amenity. The hotel facilities are awesome and the staff were very friendly. The apartment facilitated for 6 adults admirably.

We enjoyed our stay at Star City. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. The beds were very comfortable. I only wished they had complimentary transfers from the airport to the hotel.

Had a bucks night in the 3 bedroom apt. Great views, great entertainment, GREAT NIGHT!!!

Both bookings made for the 27th and the 3rd November,

Check in is a little too late for 3pm, should be 2pm. However when we tried to check into the apartment at 3
check in was 1 hour late which was inconveniencing as the 27th was day light savings we lost another 1hour for the room. Therefor the use of the room was cut short by 2hhours.
