For the price the accomodation was good value. The recently renovated bathroom was modern and clean. It is a bit too far from the centre if you don't have a car (I didn't when I stayed there) but otherwise it is a pleasant spot.

This hotel is badly in need of refurbishment, and looks totally scruffy, not what i have come to expect from comfort hotels.

I checked out the backpacker accommodations along Mitchell street, and the Asti was quieter than these. However, the hotel is old, the carpet badly needs replacing along with the curtains, and the ambiance is generally "low rent." Still, it was reasonably priced, not a far walk from the CBD, and had working AC and TV.

Convienient to town (not city) centre. Room, although clean, was very smelly.

Check in was problematic due to the night person having a sight problem which left an initial perception which was not too favourable.

Service was good. We requested for change of room, as they gave us Rm 44. They immediately agreed, and gave us a better and bigger room, at no aditional charge. Hotel staff were helpful. Room was big, clean and tidy.

Breakfast was overrated and not very good value for money.

The hotel was somewhat rundown, particularly the restaurant and the reception area The phone was unusable.
