Was great location next to beach on corner of street. Room was average size with twin and double bed (beds a little lumpy). Had to boil water to drink (cooktop, pots provided). TV reception not good on 1 of 4 channels. Phone calls cost 1.50 AUD. Didn't rent car; convenient to walk 5-10 mins. to all shops and restaurants on the main street. Airport shuttle was about a 45 minute ride from Cairns. Overall convenience and location made it a good value for the money for a 3 star hotel.

Our stay at the Arcipelago Apartments was most positive. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. The apartment we stayed in was very nice..very nicely set up. We very much enjoyed our stay at the Archipelago Apartments.

After first contact was more interested in new clients The room was never cleaned daily towels only some toiletries and coffee,tea could have also been brought in with towels

The bed seemed quite old, lots of partner movement when I moved. Not a huge issue, but an issue all the same.

Balcony views and the sound of the sea were worth every penny of the reasonable rate increase I incurred in upgrading my original choice of room

Prices have gone up here but are consistent with increases overall in Port Douglas. Beautiful view of ocean from my balcony!

The proprietress is very knowledgeable about the area and activities. She gave me great advice and was always helpful.

Great location practically on the beach and edge of the town centre. Seaview from the upper balcony superb. We upgraded to room upstairs with balcony and seaview so above ratings refer to this.

i was not aware that it was going to be a double bed - i thought it was a twin room

It was an apartment, complex had a laundry and a pool, ample parking, rooms had TV, telephone and aircon. Excellent service from our hostess, Chris was most helpful in booking our tours and offering advice on what we could do while we were there. It was a self-catering apartment, no room service, but towel change every day, which was fine. It was big enough for 2 people and the air-con was a blessing.

The owners were very helpful and provided a helpful tour desk. Kitchen facilities were good also for a small kitchenette.

very good for travellers like us who wanted to be close to the beach and not far from restaurants. we were upgraded to a balcony room and enjoyed the extra space. Had a look at the garden room which was smaller but we would have managed well and it was value for the money spent

very good desk booking service - helpful direction given for which tours to take ph did not work and bed was too small really. Otherwise OK for low end price range room.
