I find more family and friends place than hotel.

We found the location good. The younger staff at reception were pleasant. The older lady was not helpful at all and rather rude. The rooms are very basic with no tea/coffee making facilities or drawers of any kind. We saw three different rooms two of which were in urgent need of refurbishment, especially the bathrooms. Carpets threadbear and stained. Rooms are small with no view. Can't comment on food as we didn't eat there.

We had a group of 6 stay here for 2 nights.
It is a budget hotel so don't expect anything fancy and you won't be disappointed.
It's close to the city centre, only a few stops to the heart of it all and plenty of eateries in walking distance.
The staff were friendly and helpful and offered our group a basic daily breakfast at a discounted rate which was well worth it.
The only downside was we got stung with an extra tax charge of about 10 euros when we paid (the HolidayCity booking said all taxes were included), but this wasn't worth quibbling about when the room rate was so cheap.

The twin room we stayed at was comfortable and clean. Staff service was excellent. Breakfast was complete. I only regret there were signs of mildew on the ceiling of the shower.
Hotel location however is excellent, at a couple of minutes from the Metro station.

Hotel Mondia is in a very good location which made it easy to visit major tourist locations in Paris and commercial centres. In general the staff were helpful and courteous. We were, however, disappointed with the bed linen which was torn and had to ask for replacements which were also torn. Blankets did not look particularly clean. There was perhaps need for closer supervision of the cleaning of rooms, particularly bathrooms. Carpets in the room were rarely vacuumed. A cleaner environment would make the hotel a more comfortable place to stay in.

I stayed in the hotel in July 2007. There was an initial mix up with my booking when I got a twin instead of a double and I was then given the wrong double and had to change after two nights. For value for money and location, Hotel Mondia is excellent. Oberkampf metro station is very close and on a good line to get everywhere in Paris without need a change or only one change. The hotel room was basic but fine. You get what you pay for with this hotel but it is excellent value.
