Lovely large suite, separate very large lounge, large bathroom with separate shower & bath, not shower over the bath. Separate toilet through the bathroom, also a Separate guest toilet off the hall. Tea & coffee facilities with biscuits supplied. TV in bedroom & lounge. Only downside the Club lounge was not operating over Christmas whilst we were there & only reopened the morning of our departure which was dissapointing as it was a feature of staying in this hotel, however we were offered breakfast in the main dining room, plus a free drink & some cheese in the evening. This Hotel is in a very convenient location with views across the water, walk across the road to Te Papa museum, short walk to theatre & restaurants in the street behind or along the harbour. Hotel parking $30.00 per day in the public carpark next door. Good bar/lounge area with excellent restaurant.

Holiday and room were nice but food average for the price.

I was travelling to Wellington alone, and it was my first visit to New Zealand. A good hotel in a good location was crucial to the success of my visit, and the Duxton Hotel delivered on both. Clean, comfortable rooms, outstanding location near the harbor and the central business district. Would recommend to anyone.

I was fortunate in gaining a special deal on the Club Room and was pleasantly surprised with the room being on the top floor along with the Club Lounge and gym. The view over the harbour was spectacular while consuming my excellent breakfast in the Club Lounge. My Club Room was clean and comfortable. I consider the Club Room price at $240NZ incl buffet breakfast for 2 (with specials such as mine down to $198NZ) to be excellent value for money. The Duxton is also ideally situated being in easy walking distance from Convention Centre, CBD and shopping areas and the Cable Car, Botanical Gardens, museums and other city actions.

Some staff, especially in Club Lounge, not up to to international standard. Dirty dishes remined on table inspite of our request for removal. Excellent room with magnificent view. Pretty much all that we would hope for.

Your web site says that you have valet parking available but does not nention anywhere that you have to pay for it I could not beleive that we were charged for Hotel labeled water !!
