We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in November,the positives were very helpful staff,excellent comfortable room,reasonable car parking charges and very secure parking, all in all it represented good value for money. The slight negatives are the Hotel is on a very steep hill and the breakfast could best be described as OK.

the room was excellent as was the view - the position was good, not to close to the town centre to be noisy but in walking distance from all amenities. we stayed here for the last 2 days of an excellent 3 week holiday and it was an lovely place to stay.

There were no complaints at all - if you want a rating amongst peers, I give the Duxton in Wellington a slightly better score - cheaper accomodation and better breakfast

My suggestion: the cleaning of rooms should be done between 8pm and 2pm. It is of great inconvenience for your hotel guest to return at 3pm/4pm and still have to wait for the room to be tidied.

Very pleased with how early arrival was dealt with on the day (upgrade). Excellent layout and usability. Fridge uilt in cupboard uses excessive energy which is both wasteful and meant the new milk froze (Milk on arrival was off.) Otherwise very happy.
