In a poor location as regards road noise being in the centre of 3 busy roads,would not recommend it for business traveller.The rooms could do with a makeover as looking a little tatty.

My visit to Hamilton was to attend the Fairfield College 50th Jubilee. I lived in Hamilton in my teenage years in the sixties.

The hotel suite was perfectly suitable for my needs. Looking pretty tired from a decor viewpoint but it did take me back to the 60's which was most appropriate given the school reunion.
The one difficultly I did experience was the shower. This consists of a shower curtain on a rail. When I stepped into the shower the bath surface was like glass crashing me to the ground taking the curtain with me. I ended up putting one of the hand towels on the bottom of the bath to give me some grip. It is really quite dangerous.
An iron and board would have been nice as I needed to press my shirt which had been well crushed in my suitcase during my 23 hour flight.
There were no coffee sachets for my heart starter on the first morning.

We have already sent our comments to the hotel owners, using the form provided in the room. Overall we found the place substandard. The restaurant had hopeless food and service, with most of the menu not available! Several amenities in the room were not functioning. The room was not clean. The bathroom was unpleasant with mildew, broken tiles and skirting board. Fellow guests were also loudly complaining. We would never stay there again.

The hotel is in a good location and the bathroom we were using was good. But the kitchen didn't have all facilities i.e there was no kitchen sink, which I think is a must in that place. We were forced to wash the dishes in the bathroom!

When booked on web price was 107 NZ, was charged 116. Also when you walk out your door you look straight into the neighbours yard. The motel needs updating Bed needed warmer blankets and the small heater was certainly needed. I don't think there was an electric blanket on the bed.

Access to room poor. DVD player absent from room as per my reservation. Onsite restaurant too expensive. Entry into the room was limited, as key access was only obtained from (dimly lit) alley way behind building. No lounge suite/sofa in room to relax and unwind.

I found the room to be exceptionally noisy, due to proximity to the road

Non-smoking rooms better than smoking rooms. Got an heating after asking for it. After one week had to change to an other room re painting the second floor.Nothing in mini bar. Money stolen from suitcase.

the facilities (bar and restaurant) closed very early so if you arrived late then you were unable to obtain any food or drink Room had a stale smell and was in need of redecorating - particularly the bathroom.
