While we enjoyed our stay it might not suit visitors who want to be where the action is. The staff were very nice and helpful and the grounds well kept. If you have a disability or do not like stairs this is not the hotel for you. We did find the menu quite limited especially being vegetarians. Most of the time we seemed to virtually have the place to ourselves as it was the off season. Sitting by the pool is very relaxing, watching the man tend his rice field across the way. They were building and doing some renovations while we were there but nothing that interfered with our stay. There are probably some areas that could do with a bit of work e.g. painting and removal of moss etc but then this kind of adds to the charm depending on what you want. I would recommend this to people who would like a quiet place with good staff who are not looking for 5 star amenities or 5 star looks but instead a pleasant atmosphere and ambience.
