The hotel location is good, close to the shopping area.

I would certainly recommend this hotel to visitors to Wellington. The staff were courteous and extremely helpful. The rooms were large and well equipped. The location of the hotel was perfect as it is in the heart of the city and we found everything we needed within comfortable walking distance. The breakfast, at a small additional cost, was excellent and at all times we were made to feel extremely welcome. I can think of nothing that did not meet or exceed our expectations.

Had a great time staying at your wonderfull hotel, the room was great and the front of house staff we impecable.

We have traveled a lot in Europe and the United States and I have never experienced such a FANTASTIC staff! They were truly awesome! I can not speak highly enough of Arjun, Crystal, and Lisa. They were extremely kind, thoughtful and understanding. We asked for a extra chair in our room - in less than 5 minutes it was there. We needed help as our luggage did not come for 2 days and Arjun gave us the most helpful advice. We were shopping for a particular item and Arjun went onto his computer and found us a store within walking distance where we could buy it. They simply bent over backwards to please us! Unbelievable! The cleaning staff also were so accommodating and pleasant. Kudos to all of them. They really made our visit the best. The entire staff was superb! The hotel location couldn't have been better! We were able to walk everywhere and also it was close to our son whom we were visiting. I was so pleased with everything. We ate in their restaurant and the food was excellent. We simply do not have one complaint against this hotel and would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone.

The Abel Tas is an icon in Wellington. Trouble is the room we had appeared not to have been aired for a long time. The room had been sprayed with a chemical air freshner instead.

Abel Tas eveything else was what you might expect in a hotel at this level. Good staff at reception. Good location. Did the job. But I would not use you again.

reasonable price and good location - we found the availability of internet and laundry service useful in the middle of a long round the world trip!

parking was very tight--why pretend you could get two cars in any of those spaces??

Reception did not explain the "slot/power" function and did not forward a fax that had been sent to me. Starting to look shabby.

Advertised parking is very poor - rubbish skip bin blocking accessway. A mircowave would be great

I am originally from Wellington and have known the Tas for 30 years. It is as good as it ever was. Right in the heart of Wellington it provides easy access to all attractions and the downtown. Very nice, comfortable room.

needs a make over. Bathroom ceilling needed repair, and water appeared to be leaking on the towels.
