Was a bit hot in our room with the only window in the bathroom but it was in a really good location and not expensive.

Flask had a blackened coil in which we called up to change. 2 days later, it wasn't even replaced. We had to go down personally to the reception and show it to the concierge. However, it's an affordable place to stay because of its location. Surrounded by many great Chinese eateries.

The location in Sydney's Chinatown was excellent with lots of local restaurants, etc... and very close to the downtown area. The hotel upgraded me to a family room which was exceptionally well fitted out and very comfortable.

We stayed 2 nights and both nights were kept awake by young people banging doors and talking very loudly my husband went to reception and complained but nothing was said to them. We did not get much sleep both nights because of this.

Small creature comforts such as an Iron would go a long way

I must compliment the managment on the newly-upgraded corridor. It is bright and gives the a nice welcome feeling. A plus point for Aaron Hotel is its close proximity to Paddy's Market and China Town and within walking distance even to the casino. The front desk staff are really an asset to the hotel. They are helpful. For instance I asked for a road directory more than once and it was handed to me promptly and with a smile. When I wanted to change some money for coins to use the washing machine, the male staff (I couldn't make out his name on the nametag. A tall, dark handsome guy) went out of his way to the lounge in the basement to get some for me. That's real quality service alright! I stayed in Room 226.

1st night - ceiling in fan was at maximum even though it was at lowest speed

The location of this hotel is just nice for us, as we have to highly rely on public transportation. We went there over weekend, and it's just nice that Paddy Market is just across the street, in which we managed to did some of our shopping there (with pretty good deal). Also, we joined a day tour organised by one of the chinatown tour operators, and the pickup location is just right across the street. General comment, the hotel is 2-3 stars (no big surprise about the room & services offered), but location-wise is superb. Initially we were given a standard quad room with has an odd staircase inside the room -- to separate the queen bed with the bulk bed. As the staircase is very inconvenient to my 70 years old granny, I made a request to change to another room which has no such stairs. The receptionist is kind enough to upgrade us to a deluxe 6-pax room, which made our stay there more pleasant, as the room is more spacious.

Best point is the location of the hotel just beside Paddys Market. Easy access to Chinatown and all kinds of eateries and restaurants. The hotel also offers free luggage safe-keeping. The bad thing is the expensive parking if you drive - the parking is located in another hotel (yes another hotel) 5 minutes away by foot and it cost a bomb (relatively). The (much) cheaper alternative is to park your car along the road IF you can to find a lot. Remember to check out the parking tickets though. Considering the conditions of the rooms and the rates, there are better alternatives nearby. The bed was uneven - i'd imagine some of the springs were spoilt. However the beds, towels and bathroom were clean. The carpet looked suspect though. Big complaint: i wanted to boil some hot water for coffee but discovered that the inside of the kettle was totally covered with soot or something black. I did not manage to clean it sufficiently to use even after 10 minutes of hard scrubbing! Something should be done about this.

This hotel is clean and comfortable, though not luxurious. It served the needs of our family of four quite well. The location is close to Central station, which was important to us as we were travelling by coach and rail. Staff were always helpful, and were happy to let us check our luggage there both before and after our room check-in/out, which let us "see the sights" a bit more without having to lug our gear with us. The location in Chinatown, next to Paddy's markets, provided plenty of local colour. The was a bit of noise, but no more than I'd expect from any city location, and we were not disturbed by it.

no hot water at 4 pm, Changed rooms and still had no hot water.

the room is good but if there is mat provided in the toilet is better because the floor of the washroom really cold.

The receptionist help me to arrange airport shuttle bus service to go to Sydney airport with good service. They gave me the big room with 5 beds for us

Street noise was a problem, found it very hard to sleep

As one would have suitcase, would be nice to have slope to pull suitcase on slope where there are steps.

The rooms at the back of the hotel are very noisy due to rubbish collection at 3am. I would not recommend any one to stay in these rooms and they are not any cheaper.

Fox TV would be a nice addition

Going outside was deemed to be a life threatening experience toilet wouldn't flush

we booked for 5 adults. mother and daughter had to sleep together in double bed as it must have been assumed we were a couple with three children
