I THINK MORE FACILITIES CAN HELP THE VISITOR DAN MAKE THEM HAPPY, FOR EXAMPLE : - BREAKFAST FACILITIES - FREE INTERNET CONNECTION / WIFI

The Hotel was good and the staff very friendly and customer orientated. The only problem i met with the Hotel was the smell of cigarette smoke in the corridors of the 8th floor.

We had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The initial problem we had was getting used to the bus routes. On the last night of our stay we had a small incident where the water from the upper floor leaked into our room creating a small pool of water and a blackout. We were amazed though at the speed at which the Reception called maintenance and within minutes the maintenance personnel was at our door giving us assistance. On top of that we were given an alternative room to spend the remaining hours of our stay there. On another note, the 5th floor room that we were transfered to (Room 506) showed signs of damp walls and in some sections drops of water could be felt. These could have caused our belongings to get wet if left by the walls for a period of time. I think maintenance need to look into that seriously. Otherwise this could lead to serious problems. Other than that, we had no complaints staying at this hotel and I would recommend this hotel to my budget-concious friends.

As not expecting too much in this price region, the hotel is good value for money, especially in a city like Singapore. Small but clean rooms, the service is ok.

The staff was courteuous although at checkout time had to pay additional $10 per day as there was a rate change

The highlight of my stay was watching the working girls who surrounded the hotel after dark. Didn't realise the hotel was in the middle of a red light district.

Staff were very helpful and courteous.
I found the rooms extremely small and cramped.
I will try and get a bigger room next time, but they are very limited.

That's a lot of local food and just around the corner. Is convenience for the person who travel alone or with the couples and they can taste the local food. The price is reasonable as well.

The hotel was ok for a weeks stay but no longer as there was not many facilities at this hotel. I would stay again if I came to Singapore for a short stay.

Good value for money if your on your own. Not ideal for families though. Not too bad...

The hotel is fantastic. Only wish that it's nearer to the city centre/attractions.

For the price the hotel was good value- within walking distance of the Metro. Helpful staff but it DID turn out to be in the redlight district! It was small but adequate snd clean with reasonable amenities

When i booked my room at hotel 81 Orchid i was not aware that Geylang and the area around the hotel is the prostituition centre of Singapore now it didnt really matter when i found out i couldnt cancel because it was too close to my arrival date and i had no trouble but i still should have been informed of this and not have it sprung on me two days before my stay

these days you need internet in hotels

very quiet and safe around the crowd very good and comfortable

very few restaurants within walking distance open in the morning for breakfasts not very good sound ventilation.

Staff is pleasant and helpful. Only that, the room is too small and there is no hair-dryer in each of the room. Some items may need to be replaced, since old and have stains. I find that the towel was not clean enough and there was insect climbing on the wall of washroom....seems horrible.

Ha d to ask a couple of times to be provided with non-sugar coffee in my room.(Diabetic) No wardrobes or drawers meant living out of the suitcase. The A/C unit was too cold when on at whatever setting.

everyone in the hotel is very accomodating the room was neat.
