hotel location excellent, staff very freindly, service good

Our room was extremely basic but considering how expensive Singapore is it was great value and very clean. Location is good - not far from train station or from local food markets - or from the colourful red light district. Reception staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful.

More facilities can be added to entice more guests to this hotel. Aircond is run out of order.

The staff were very friendly, however, they could be better versed with city sites and things to do.

The location wasw not great for people wanting to sightsee a bit out of the way. wE FOUND THIS HOTEL A LITTLE TIRED BUT JUST o.k. FOR 2 NIGHTS Didn't like the breakfast

Breakfast buffet is quite poor and could be better presented with more variety. Room was fine. Bathroom a little old...could do with a "touch up".

Nice hotel with all ficilities. The nearby rail stations are a plus to the hotel. Foodcourts nextdoor to the hotel adds value to the place. The room was surprisingly large and tidy. The attached bathroom was also well maintained. Overall rating 4.5!

The floor was dirty (particularly in the corners on the carpet) and so was the AirCon machine.

Could provide more of a western style breakfast, for example eggs and/or cereal and fresh milk. Could provide fresh milk for tea and coffee.

Staff there were not friendly. One cleaner drop her broom in front of me as I was walking by. No acknowledge to my present and no apology either. RUDE !!!! I had cochroach running around all over the bedhead, fridge area and in the bathroom. Though I reported it to reception they were not at all eager to solve the problem. VERY VERY VERY DISAPPOINTING !!!

carpets are very dirty

Bang in the center of the muslim quarter for your interest and not near to MRT as was shown on your location map. The room smelled musty and not used very often.

The hotel is not luxurious, but it is comfortable, clean, provides tea and coffee making facilities and is located in an up-and-coming area of Singapore, where you can still find some of the traditional hawker centers and reasonably priced shops. It is not far from the nearest MRT (metro) station and the taxi far from the airport is reasonable too. A very spacious room for three people.

My name is Mark Kime and I booked 1 room. My Friend Hans Kupper also booked 1 room. We were happy with the accomodation.

Only second time I have been there so , so far it's been OK. Trying to get TV / remote to work the 2nd time I stayed there was a small annoyance but overall, Tristar suits my requirements..... TV a bit dodgy. No working remote control in the room and therefore had to spend 30 mins going back and forth to front desk from 4th floor at 10:30pm try to get a remote that works / batteries to operate TV.

Generally excellent, though some breakfast dishes not very hot later in morning. Trouble with the air conn one night, but generally fine. Glad not to have (or be charged for) mini bar, but water bottles were appreciated. Thanks.
