Located on Keong Saik Road in China town, Hotel 1929 Singapore is a consolidation of five shop houses built in 1929 and houses 32 rooms. It is old-world-architecture meet nouveau-chic-interiors. No two room are alike, and each comes in a mix of classic designer and retro vintage furniture with tech-age amenities.

Head down to the reception area, and you'll find an old fashioned barber's chair and first edition Hans Wagner "Bear" chair, purely there for aesthetic reasons, and not meant to be sat on. Unique furnishing and cosy clubby/homey atmosphere aside, the walls are lined with black and white archival photos of colonial Singapore, courtesy of the National Archives.

Very good breakfast and vgood location close to outram pk mrt stop - 2 mins away. Room was tiny - flat screen tvs as there is no room for a normal one - but it was modern and clean.

Very small rooms for single but so are other boutique hotels in this area. Cnn did not operate clearly. Good, if you are not spending a lot of time in the room. Breakfast included.

Location was close to shopping and marketplace. breakfast was good and staff were excellent. although the rooms were small, the shower was unique.
